Some of you may or may not know I’ve had weight problems since I started having babies. I’m 5’2″ and weighed 108 when I got pregnant with my first beautiful baby. After each baby (4) I gained about 10-20 lbs. per pregnancy. I think the perfect weight for me is a comfortable weight not really a number, if I had to guess between 135-145. I am a pear shape meaning I have a very big butt!!! I also have muscular arms and I hate them lol! I’ve tried many diets and plans over the years and they worked at first but I gained everything back plus more here and there. In 2016 I did a low carb woe <—way of eating, I did not follow any diets or plans just cut potatoes, rice, pasta, and flour and I hiked a lot. I got down to 150 and was happy but boy did I miss the bread and potatoes so I gained most of it back. My start weight in 2016 was 189 ugh to much fat for my little frame. In September 2018 I started keto I was 182 am now 158, I quit sugar (didn’t know I could do that) and bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, and fruit. I can still have berries and vegetables grown above ground. I have tracked a lot with Carb Manager a free app and it helps a lot but once you do it for a while you get to know what you’re doing. I still track every now and then to make sure I’m on target with my macros (5% carbs, 20% protein, 75% fat). I just tell myself if God made it and it’s not sugar or high in starch I can eat or drink it. There are ways to get your bread, cake, chocolate, pasta fix with almond flour and coconut flour but they will never be the same. Check on pinterest there are tons of recipes. I tell myself I’m an adult and some things just won’t be the same if they are made with almond and coconut flour but I can accept it because I’m a grown up so I eat it or don’t make it again. I tell myself all the time that if I was raised eating almond flour bread, cakes, pies, etc. I wouldn’t like the flour versions right? Also if I only had dark chocolate and then tried milk chocolate I might think it is way to sweet. Those are just things I tell myself to accept the different tastes and textures of Keto woe. So back to my weight, I started keto 9/1/18 @ 182, it’s 1/10/19 and I weight 159, very slow but I cheated for a week during Thanksgiving and a week during Christmas. I don’t mind that it’s coming off slow because I’m still enjoying things here and there, I need to or I may just give up and gain it back again. I will be leaving for Hawaii in a couple weeks and because I cheated last night with ugh Panda Express which is my least favorite restaurant but it was there, hot, and I was hungry. So I’m going to try the 3 day egg fast. I will document as much as I can but it’s mainly eggs + fat every meal for 3 days. I’m hoping to lose about 5 lbs. before vacation. Here is a link to my egg fast. Right now I don’t know if it worked but I’m hoping so.
Wish me luck!!!!!
Update: I lost about 3 pounds so it really wasn’t worth it to me, I missed my meat and veggies to much.
