I seen this egg at the store and thought that’s a great sized egg to alter. So of course I had to purchase it! I have a few more eggs to make for decorations and I will be doing videos on those as well but here is my first egg for this Easter. I started altering it by painting it pink. Then I used this tutorial to add the beautiful satin to the inside. I did use a running stitch a long the outside to make it easier to glue. Once the inside was finished I added a hinge and then some gorgeous laces from One Little Dreamer. I used a Bridal Beaded Applique Trim in Ivory on the top, some Pink Chiffon Ruffle Pearl Trim around the edge, and the beautiful Sweetheart trim around the bottom. One Little Dreamer is ordering the Pink Chiffon Ruffle Pearl Trim in April and is expecting the Sweetheart trim any day. Here is a link to the “FlashDeals” Facebook group where you can get even more great deals that aren’t always posted in the shop. I also made feet for the bottom with filigrees and added a gorgeous crystal peacock to the top and other crystals for more bling.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and please share with your friends!
