Royal Crown & Tiara

I had so much fun making these! I was looking for Halloween costumes online and I seen a crown and it hit me, SaCrafters filigress would be perfect for a crown. I started to picture how to make it then I got to excited and just started making it. The base of the crown is made entirely of filigrees then embellished. I also used some beautiful trims. I then took a 18″x18″ piece of satin and did a very loose running stitch, filled it with stuffing and pulled tight, and knotted it. I put that inside the crown and cut a piece of chipboard to push up inside the crown to hold the stuffing in. It was actually a quick project.

I also made a tiara and have a fast play video tutorial I will link below. I started with a headband and some filigrees I painted with silver metal mixatives, then I added embellishments and it was done!

i just got a order to do a crown for a store… yours is great but i have to come up with a different design… i love yours im doing to make one like yours for my bedroom… it will go great with my aisain black velvet comforter….
